SOLR and KATTA
Hi,
I have setting up a small hadoop cluster (for index storage ) with katta distributed index and planning to use SOLR for serving the search
Any one of you have previous experiance in setting up the solr /Katta . I have already done Katta (with zoo keeper ) and hadoop .

The solr katta path 1395? works pretty well, there is a README that walks through how to set it up

Hello Jason,
I've tried the HADOOP-1395 patch recently, and found out that the some test code of the patch refers to Katta code which is not available in latest Katta git master.
However, I skipped building the test and the resulting solr can be run (not sure if it has problems since I can't build the test to run..)
Do you have any fix for this? Or it only supports for the Katta code in svn trunk (which should not be the most up-to-date version) ?
By the way, I am curious if the existing Katta cluster can be used by this Katta-integrated Solr. Also I would like to know how to achieve managing Solr shards/cores in a centralized manner.
Can you kindly give us some hints?

I haven't tried the code with the newer versions of Katta. Due to changing personal requirements I haven't been active with this code in some time.
It looks like Thomas Koche updated the katta patches to work with 0.6 on 2010-03-26 09:43 AM.
