Regarding Map Reduce Program

Hi,

I am totally new to this Hadoop programming,  I need a clarification regarding Map reduce implementation. Any suggestions are appreciated

I have some data in Hbase table. I need to write a java program to fetch a particular set of data and do updations on the data if needed. i want to use Hbase ApI to fetch the data . I need to know how this can implemented in a map reduce program.

hey Raj,

yes u can write MR jobs , but you can also do this in simple java API's, which is much easy anyways,

which you can easily find out in HBASE Definetive guide.
