hardware failures in hadoop

Hi all,

  We are doing a project in hadoop"A hadoop compatible framework for detecting network topology and detecting and diagnosing hardware failures".

   We need to know which distribution of hdfs is helpfull to work on.

Hey we are using 0.20.2 , till now its working and gud.
